Academia and industry (A/I) are the main stakeholders involved in transferring innovation to society. While academia supplies specialized manwork and scientific knowledge, industry transforms knowledge into products and methodologies. Thus, goals, structure, and environment differ significantly from Academia to Industry. In addition, the transfer of academics towards industry is easier than in the other way around. Interestingly, career opportunities bright in different manner at both side of the bridge.

This roundtable will be the perfect scenario to discuss hot topics of increasing social, economic and political relevance:
What does a green future mean from a realistic perspective?
How close or how far are we from achieving a green future?
What are the main risks that Europe is facing to fulfil the major goals of the European Green Deal? Will a carbon-neutral EU be possible by 2050?
What is the role that Magnetism is already playing -and is expected to play in the near future- to contribute to make real these goals?
Might a closer interplay between scientists, industry and policy makers ease the transition?
And many more questions that will surely come between our panellists and the most important participants in this exciting session: you, the audience.
A vibrant and a sustainability future will require the combination of different technologies with Magnetism as a common denominator: spintronics, biomagnetism, magnetic refrigeration, permanent magnets, recycling…
Joint us and enjoy!
